abmGetTextOnPos function 
 
Remarks
Given a text position, retrieves the text string. 
To set the text string at a specified position use the abmSetTextOnPos function.
Return value
A string containing the selected text. 
If using this function from within Visual Basic 6, remember to convert the returned value from UNICODE using the StrConv function and its related vbFromUnicode option, as in the sample below: 
MsgBox StrConv(abmGetTextOnPos(Command1.hwnd, TEXTPOS_CAPTION), vbFromUnicode)

Parameters
Description
hWndBtn
Windows handle associated to the button.
nPosition
The numeric value of the text that will be retrieved. Supported values are the following: 
Mnemonic constant
Meaning
TEXTPOS_CAPTION (0)
Gets the caption text
TEXTPOS_LT (1)
Gets the Left-Top text
TEXTPOS_CT (2)
Gets the Center-Top text
TEXTPOS_RT (3)
Gets the Right-Top text
TEXTPOS_LM (4)
Gets the Left-Middle text
TEXTPOS_RM (5)
Gets the Right-Middle text
TEXTPOS_LB (6)
Gets the Left-Bottom text
TEXTPOS_CB (7)
Gets the Center-Bottom text
TEXTPOS_RB (8)
