Microsoft FrontPage add-in Export dialog box
Before exporting the 3D button picture files into your Microsoft FrontPage document, you have the opportunity to check your preferences such as graphic format, compression quality, destination folder for the exported picture files and to decide if you want to create a Rollover effect with your 3D button: these settings can be set from the following dialog box; click over the image below in order to be taken to every available setting explanation:
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
Original picture size: the size in bytes of the uncompressed original button image.
Original picture preview: the preview of the uncompressed original button image: note that if you are creating a Navigation bar, only the first button of the navigation bar will be displayed.
Export result size: the size in bytes of the compressed exported button image: this size changes in real-time when you change the export graphical format or the JPEG quality.
Export picture preview: the preview of the exported button picture: note that if you are creating a Navigation bar, only the first button of the navigation bar will be displayed.
Exported pictures destination folder: the folder where exported button pictures will be stored on your hard disk: this field, by default, is automatically set to the same folder in which the container FrontPage document has been saved.
Browse button: pressing this button will let you change the exported pictures default destination folder.
Export as GIF: will cause the export of the current button picture in GIF format.
Export as PNG: will cause the export of the current button picture in PNG format.
Export as JPG: will cause the export of the current button picture in JPG format.
Export as Transparent GIF: will cause the export of the current button picture in Transparent GIF format.
Export as Transparent PNG: will cause the export of the current button picture in Transparent PNG format.
Use error diffusion: lets you choose if the algorithm used to convert into a 256 colors GIF format will make use of an error diffusion algorithm: error diffusion generates better quality images but will increase the final size of the button picture file.
Quality: lets you change the quality of the exported picture when the chosen graphical format is JPG. The quality value can range from 0 (higher compression but poor quality) to 100 (lower compression but better quality results).
Create rollover effect - No rollover: only one button picture will be exported and inserted inside the container FrontPage document.
Create rollover effect - Pressed: this is a 2-states Rollover; two button pictures will be exported and inserted inside the container FrontPage document: the picture of the button in normal state and the picture of the button in pressed state. Selecting this option will cause the add-in to automatically insert the JavaScript code, needed to create the rollover effect, inside the container FrontPage document. You can see an example of this kind of rollover effect on our web site
Create rollover effect - MouseOver: this is a 2-states Rollover; two button pictures will be exported and inserted inside the container FrontPage document: the picture of the button in normal state and the picture of the button when the mouse rolls over the button surface. Selecting this option will cause the add-in to automatically insert the JavaScript code, needed to create the rollover effect, inside the container FrontPage document. You can see an example of this kind of rollover effect on our web site
Create rollover effect - Pressed/MouseOver: this is a 3-states Rollover; three button pictures will be exported and inserted inside the container FrontPage document: the picture of the button in normal state, the picture of the button when the mouse rolls over the button surface and the picture of the button in pressed state. Selecting this option will cause the add-in to automatically insert the JavaScript code, needed to create the rollover effect, inside the container FrontPage document. You can see an example of this kind of rollover effect on our web site
Optional filename prefix : when the button pictures are exported, by default their filenames are created using the caption string text: if you need to have two buttons pictures with the same caption, you should consider adding a filename prefix (for example "top_" or "bottom_") to the filename, in order to avoid the overwriting of previously generated button picture files.
OK button: pressing this button will cause the button picture(s) to be exported into the FrontPage document.
Cancel button: pressing this button will abort the export operation.
Help button: pressing this button will open this help page.
