Question 1. What does "developer license" mean?
Answer. Licensing of our components is done on a per-developer basis. This means that a 1-developer license allows only 1 developer to use the component during application development. If a team consists of more than 1 developer who will be using the components during application development, then you will need purchasing an according number of licenses.
Question 2. Is it possible purchasing a site-license instead of a fixed number of licenses?
Answer. Yes, if your Company has more than 5 developers that will use our components, you can ask for a site-license quote to our sales department specifying the approximate number of developers that will use our components.
Question 3. Do your products have a royalty license?
Answer. No. Our components are royalty-free. You can redistribute component's binaries with any number and copies of your applications to any number of end-users.
Question 4. I'm a consultant/contractor using your components in our client's project. Can I reuse the license for another client?
Answer. No. You cannot use the same license(s) for developing projects for different clients. The license should be in the name of the client for whom you are developing the project. If you need to use the components in a project being developed for another client, you need a separate license in that client's name.
Question 5. The company where I work has a license for the components. Can I use the components at home?
Answer. No. The license is granted only for use by the company who purchased the license. A company license cannot be used at home and a license purchased in an individual's name cannot be used at work.
Question 6. Do I need to pay further money for obtaining technical support?
Answer. Absolutely no: when you purchase one of our components you will benefit a lifetime technical support without further costs.
Question 7. What does it happen if my code shouldn't work with your components?
Answer. Simply contact our technical support team: you will be requested to submit your code or a project reproducing the problem so our technicians will have the possibility to find what's wrong with your code.
Question 8. Do I have the possibility to advertise my application on your site for free?
Answer. Yes. If your application is using one or more of our components, you can submit it for free using the form available inside our "Customers" web page.
Question 9. Do I need to pay further money for obtaining upgrades?
Answer.
- Upgrades to minor versions (for example from version 3.0 to version 3.1) and bug fixing releases are free of charge.
- Upgrades to contiguous major versions (for example from version 3.0 to version 4.0) can be obtained at a discounted price which is usually less than 50% of the street price.
- Upgrades to not contiguous major versions (for example from version 3.0 to version 6.0) can be in any case obtained at a discounted price which is usually something more than 50% of the street price.
